about
Regional Principal Solutions Architect. CCIE #24221. Navy veteran. I build networks that run themselves.
// the take
Most enterprise networks are over-built and under-automated, the result of buying boxes instead of designing systems. I do the opposite: design the system first, then automate it so it deploys clean and stays that way. A network you can't redeploy from code isn't finished. It's just running.
// what I do
I architect multi-vendor infrastructure across Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Pure Storage, and NVIDIA AI fabric: campus, data center, security, and the AI-factory plumbing underneath. Then I wrap it in Python (Netmiko, PyATS, Batfish, Jinja2, Cisco Modeling Labs) so the design survives contact with production. That belief turned a statewide 70-site switch refresh into a zero-downtime automation pipeline, and a manual pre-sales motion into a repeatable system.
// background
CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure #24221 since 2009. Two decades designing and running enterprise networks for Fortune 500, S&P 500, and public-sector organizations, currently as Regional Principal Solutions Architect at Trace3 Government. Before all of it, a U.S. Navy Information Systems Technician. I started on the radios and never stopped chasing the next layer of the stack.
// now
Building AI-augmented pre-sales: agents that handle the busywork so the architecture gets the judgment. Plus this site, and whatever lab is currently running in the other terminal.
